Formulation

Lyophilized from a 10mM NaHCO₃ buffer with a pH of 8.5.

Solubility

Reconstitute the lyophilized IL-27 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O to a concentration of at least 100µg/ml. Further dilutions can be made in other aqueous solutions.

Stability
Lyophilized IL-27 is stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. However, it is recommended to store the product desiccated below -18°C. After reconstitution, store IL-27 at 4°C for 2-7 days. For long-term storage, keep it below -18°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity

Purity is determined to be greater than 95.0% by SDS-PAGE analysis.

Biological Activity

The biological activity of Mouse p28, a subunit of IL-27, is assessed by measuring its ability to inhibit IL-17A expression in mouse CD4 splenocytes stimulated with TGF-beta and IL-6. A concentration of 50ng/ml of mouse p28 can inhibit IL-17A expression by over 25% in this assay.
